Hello! My Name Is Diana Barrios

Meet Diana

Diana Barrios doula

Diana Barrios (she/her), originally from Guatemala, embarked on her professional journey with a focus on law and qualifications as an ESL teacher, Spanish/English translator, and interpreter. Transitioning from the administrative world to the doula profession, she draws inspiration from her diverse academic background. Passionate about providing friendly and empathetic postpartum support, Diana’s commitment is deeply rooted in personal experiences navigating a challenging postpartum period. She brings a unique blend of academic knowledge and heartfelt understanding to support clients on their individual journeys. Relocating to the United States in 2010 added another layer to Diana’s story, enriching her perspective. She has dedicated herself to offering nuanced and supportive postpartum care. As a postpartum doula, Diana thrives in providing grounded and well-rounded support to individuals in the comfort of their homes, fostering a transformative postpartum journey.

We really enjoyed having Diana as an overnight doula. It is so clear that Diana is passionate about caring for new parents and babies. What I really appreciated was how Diana observed where I was struggling and offered concrete suggestions for improvement. I worked with Diana after the birth of my second child, and even though I had been through the newborn stage before, I learned new skills from Diana every time she was with us. She taught me about baby massage and different burping techniques. Diana sat with me while I breastfed at night and made sure my baby stayed alert enough to do a full feed. I always felt confident that Diana was taking excellent care of my child overnight, and I highly recommend working with her. She is a skilled and empathetic doula.
