Meet Molly

Postpartum Doula

Everyone benefits from dedicated support when major life transformations are underway. I became a doula to offer the knowledge, care and support families deserve during this thrilling, yet often daunting, time of pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. My hope is to be be a calming presence to you and your family.

As your doula, it is my role to provide you with evidence-based information so you can make informed decisions about what works best for you and your family and to support you in achieving your desired experiences.

Having a support network in place BEFORE your baby arrives makes such a difference!

My approach to working with your family is founded on genuine respect, trust, and having strong reciprocal relationships with you, your new baby, and your family. I would LOVE to be that support person that we ALL need and deserve. Accepting help is the opposite of failing, it's the only way to succeed! The heart of my passion is serving as a consistent source of encouragement for families.

I have a BS in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College in Boston and an MA in Infant Special Education from George Washington University. I am a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula through Lifespan Doulas. I am currently enrolled in a year-long training program to certify as a Transformational Birth Coach. I also am a Labor Support Volunteer at Virginia Hospital Center and a Teachstone Certified Infant, Toddler, and Pre-K CLASS Observer for Virginia Quality Birth-Five in the Ready Region Capital Area. l am certified in adult and pediatric first aid/CPR/AED. I am COVID vaccinated and boosted, as well as up to date with flu and Tdap vaccinations.

I'm from Alexandria, VA, and I'm a proud mother to my five amazing children between the ages of 7 and 17, three girls and two boys! My birth experiences were all very different, but I learned so much from each one and they each have their own story. I experienced an unexpected cesarean birth after 18 hours of labor with my first child, followed by four successful VBACs that I am very proud of! I am passionate about supporting others who may want to attempt one.

It truly is an honor and a privilege to share in this miraculous and intimate moment in your family's life.

I can't wait to meet you!
