Daytime Postpartum Support

Nighttime Postpartum Support

Everyone benefits from dedicated support when major life transformations are underway. I became a doula to offer the knowledge, care and support families deserve during this thrilling, yet often daunting, time of pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. My hope is to be be a calming presence to you and your family.

As your doula, it is my role to provide you with evidence based information, so you came make informed decisions about what works best for you and your family and to support you in achieving your desired experiences.

Having a network of support in place BEFORE your baby arrives makes such a difference!

My approach to working with your family is founded on genuine respect, trust, and having strong reciprocal relationships with you, your new baby, and your family. I would LOVE to be that support person that we ALL need and deserve.

Accepting help is the opposite of failing, it's the only way to succeed! The heart of my passion is serving as a consistent source of encouragement for families.

I have a BS in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College in Boston and an MA in Infant Special Education from The George Washington University. I am a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula through Lifespan Doulas. I am currently enrolled in a year-long training program to certify as a Transformational Birth Coach. I also am a Labor Support Volunteer at Virginia Hospital Center and a Teachstone Certified Infant, Toddler, and Pre-K CLASS Observer for Virginia Quality Birth-Five in the Ready Region Capital Area. l am Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certified. I am COVID vaccinated and boosted, as well as up to date with flu and Tdap vaccinations.

I'm from and live in Alexandria, VA and I'm a proud mother to my 5 amazing children between the ages of 7 and 17, three girls and two boys! My birth experiences were all very different, but I learned so much from each one and they each have their own story.

I personally experienced an unexpected cesarean birth after 18 hours of labor with my first child, followed by 4 successful VBACs that I am very proud of! I am passionate about supporting others who may want to attempt one.

I absolutely loved this time in my life and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to support your family during this exciting time in your lives! It truly is an honor and a privilege to share in this miraculous and intimate moment in your family's life.

I can't wait to meet you!

“I enthusiastically offer my recommendation of Molly Casey Duffy’s doula services. Molly helped me for three months following the birth of my son both during the day and overnight. As a first time mom who experienced a great deal of anxiety before my son was born, Molly was my saving grace and the only person outside of family who I trust to care for my son. We enjoyed working with her so much that once our initial contract ended, we extended it another month because her help was invaluable. She is hardworking, reliable and exceptionally thoughtful.”
