Meet Dalia

I am Dalia, and my dream work is being a doula. There are several reasons that make me want to become a doula: I get to make a living serving families at an amazing time in their lives when they welcome a new baby. It humbles me. I am humbled by the incredible courage and grace of families, and by the power of life. It is lifelong learning. Every birth and postpartum client teaches me something new. Empathy and compassion are my motto. Back when I was a nanny, new moms entrusted me with their babies. Their separation from their new babies to go back to work was hard. I created the connection with them by being kind, compassionate, a good listener to their concerns and hopes, and assuring them that their babies are in good hands. I am also savvy about the newborn's eating and sleeping patterns. Throughout the years, I developed good listening and communication skills. I am single. I do not own any pets, but I like being around them. I live in Reston, Virginia. I grew up in Morocco but immigrated to the United States of America for better work opportunities. I like to cook, to go for long walks, to read, and to travel and learn about other cultures and food.
