Hello! My Name Is Nia Speight

Birth and Postpartum Doula
The gift of caretaking is a huge part of my journey; as the firstborn and eldest sister to 4 amazing kids, I was made to support families. For me, supporting means to protect, to share, to appreciate, and to commit to your role within your community. I’m a Birth & Postpartum Doula through Madriella and Virginia State-Certified with 8 years of experience as an in-home caregiver and 2 years as a birth doula. I provide care based on the unique needs of every family. In labor, I work with parents by honing in on body movement and pain management techniques. During postpartum, I offer traditional and practical services to encourage overall family wellness. I also dedicate time to supporting families who need healthcare referrals, sibling support, and bereavement support. My hope is to support families in a way that prepares them for not only the present moment, but the future.
