Meet Maricar

With a lifetime of hands-on experience caring for children, I bring both knowledge and heart to the families I support. I understand the joys and challenges of welcoming a newborn, and my goal is to provide compassionate, confident care for new parents. My passion for supporting families grew stronger while working in the back office of an OB/GYN practice in San Francisco, where I saw how meaningful postpartum guidance can be. Before becoming a postpartum doula, I spent 20+ years as an Early Childhood Educator, caring for children from infancy through first grade. Those years taught me patience, understanding, and how to support families through big transitions. Today, I blend my experience and education to help parents feel calm, supported, and confident during those early weeks home with baby. I hold a B.A. in Family Studies with an emphasis in Nutrition, along with certifications in Early Childhood Education, Postpartum Doula training, and as a Baby Signs® instructor. I am currently taking my Perinatal Nutrition Certification with Infant Nutrition.
