Meet Beka: professional baby snuggler, lactation detective, and cheerleader for tired parents everywhere.
She is a Certified Postpartum Doula and Certified Lactation Counselor, which basically means she helps new parents find their footing when everything smells like spit-up and no one knows what day it is. With a B.S. in Public Health and fieldwork in the Peace Corps in Ethiopia, Beka’s always had a heart for helping people—especially those operating on three hours of sleep and caffeine-fueled hope.
She launched into doula life in 2016 after her own postpartum experience left her thinking, “Wait… why did no one warn me about this?” Fast forward 8 years and 72 families later, and she’s still going strong—armed with burp cloths, empathy, and the occasional lactation pun.

She teaches classes like Preparing for Baby and Lactation 101, where she keeps it real, answers all the awkward questions, and makes you feel like you’ve got this—even if you still can’t fold a swaddle without YouTube.
Beka’s approach? Think less judgment, more gentle guidance and the occasional "you're doing amazing, sweetie" energy. She meets families exactly where they are and helps them move forward with confidence (and maybe a little less googling at 3 a.m.).
When she’s not saving the world one nipple at a time, Beka is dancing like no one’s watching with her 9-year-old daughter or illustrating comics that usually involve at least one fart joke. Also, she’s a sucker for loving every dog she meets and can’t resist a good piece of ginger candy.
